Hello zeeshan.insight and welcome to the forums

I have never used encoders before, so I don't know how much help I can be.  Right now, this forum only has three members and there isn't really anyone around to help answer your question besides me. I will go ahead and try and help with you question as best as I can. You might have better luck asking this question over at www.cnczone.com though.

You may have already found this but , if not, here is a link to the emc2 documentation.
http://wiki.linuxcnc.org/cgi-bin/emcinfo.pl

Here is another link which has a table of pitch conversions.
http://www.newmantools.com/tech/pitchconversions.htm

I don't know if want inch or metric, but your 5mm pitch ballscrew works out to be 5.08rev/inch. I have attached a picture to this post and circled where this number goes. Don't use the numbers in the picture. They are not meant for CNC machines.

I don't know if that helps any, but it's the best I can come up with.

Thanks for joining!
