Joystick connection
« on: October 05, 2014, 09:48:12 AM »
After 2 years I am back on this site and I can see that a lot has changed. Good work Gabriel!
I am interested in the connection of the joystick to the Arduino, but I cant find that. I am not interested buying the Harverster  Shield because I like to make most of the hardware myself. (I still use the old DIY driver board)
Can someone sent me a link to the theory behind the joystick and the connections to the Arduino?

Hi Bernard and welcome back!

Yes there has been a lot of changes. And a lot more will hopefully be added soon.

The full "schematic" for the shield is at this forum link.

In addition to the joystick, you will also need to have the Previous and Next buttons wired. Both need to be pressed at the same time to activate joystick control mode. You could of course reprogram that though.
